Eli5 please.
I have spent hours and hours trying to research this. So, I downloaded jellyfin and I could run it on my phone to cast to the tv but only when the laptop and the phone were connected to the same wifi network. I know I clicked the box to allow remote access but I couldn't access it unless I was on the same wifi.
So I've asked a few times how to make this happen and the same answer every time is "bruh.. bruh… Do you even docker? Just slam a docker jug into the docker pig with docker dockerizi g the docked ducker dig!"
Or that might as well be what they said.
So I try to look up "how do I dock?" And then I have to rephrase my question, "how do I computer a docker?"
I am not a dev. I am about middle of the pack mellenial tech native competence.
Do I build it? Or do I pull it? Or do I contain it? Is there just a GitHub that I can search for like "I need jellyfish image that allows remote access, gives proxy server, forwards port, runs and allows access while VPN is running and torrenting" can I do that? None, not one single hour long video I have watched has said one computer word that I understood.
Please. Please. Please, treat me like a dumb newb, take pitty on me, don't jargonflex because you think it's hilarious to frustrate people who are just trying to get up to speed with Linux (mint, Vanessa) and just drop a link to a pdf of the instructions drawn out in crayon with all of the words spelled phonetically… Please?
